Exploded Sunrise

I'm still not too sure about the button, even though I love the look of vintage; I wanted to make a beaded bead for the closure, but everything I tried just flopped - they were either too big or the wrong color.

This time I think the scanner washed out the colors:

I forgot to throw in the picture of my worktable for the October BJP page, so here it is, rescued from obscurity.

  1. Nancy SathreVogel had a great article in Beadwork (I think) a few months ago. It was for a beaded button. I liked it so well I adapted it to make two smaller sizes of button. This might work well for you. I love the colors of your bracelet.

  3. @ abeadlady: I'm digging through all my back issues, searching . . .

@ lb: The table only looks like that when I get all the elements together. Once the work starts, no table is visible . . . ;-)

  4. I like the golden textured button you chose for your bracelet. It's a nice contrast to the variegated colors of the seed beads and gives the bracelet a sophisticated polish. The scanned photo gives a nice view of the values of your colors even though the colors don't really show up as nice as the other photos you took.
Wow, your work table is so neat compared to mine. Well, I guess at the start of a project my table looks like that, too. But not for long! -Karen

  5. I told you a story. Sorry. It was in B&B 2006 where I found Nancy's button article. You will love it. If you need a smaller button, let me know via email.
