I continue to continue. The obsession is taking a firmer hold. I want to get to the sunset part in the top right corner, but I don't want to rush the sunrise segment, either. It's coming together - bit by bit and somehow in spite of me. The thing I noticed is that as I'm working so closely with the piece, I don't grasp the whole of it until I take a picture of it. Then I find myself surprised, as though the piece were coming into being all on its own. I think it has a lot to do with getting out of my own way.

Wow, you are moving along. I have had to rip some out as I didn't quited space it how I wanted; even so, I don't move at your pace. It is looking very nice. I can't wait to see what you do with the sunrise.
ReplyDeleteI love the movement it your piece, and the colors.

It's coming along quite nicely, love the colors and the sparkle! I'm looking forward to your next post.
ReplyDeletelove it! it's very deep, like looking down through layers and layers.
ReplyDeletei have that same sort of thing going on-- i don't see full perspective of my work until i photographed it. Then i see what it really looks like. Strange, eh? only happens with my bead embroidery though!
So lush and shimmery! Love how's it coming along! I'm the same way with photography and beadwork. I think it gives a certain distance when it's photographed - you can see the whole thing all at once, instead of being right up close.
